‘Can’t compromise on welfare of Punjab’: Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns as state Congress chief | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday announced his resignation as Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president. The cricketer-turned-politician made the announcement on Twitter.
The leader said that he has quit from the post as he “can never compromise on Punjab’s future” in his letter addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. “The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab,” he wrote.

Sidhu was appointed the president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee on July 18, 2021 along with four working presidents.
