Tabu all set to commence ‘Drishyam 2’ shoot with Ajay Devgn this December? – Times of India

Bad guys beware, Tabu will be back in action as Inspector Meera Deshmukh, in the upcoming sequel of the superhit film ‘Drishyam‘.

Months after the Malayalam original was declared a ‘runaway hit’, with critics saying it was even better than the first part, it looks like the Hindi remake is ready to go on floors. According to the latest reports, Tabu, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Ishita Datta will soon commence the shoot of ‘Drishyam 2‘.

Buzz is that the team will get the cameras rolling by December 2021, as Ajay is currently busy with his other filming commitments and so is Tabu, who has been shooting for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. She is also expected to start working on ‘Kuttey’ which marks the directorial debut of Vishal Bhardwaj’s son, Aasmaan Bhardwaj.

Amidst all the hype and buzz around the Hindi remake of ‘Drishyam’, reports state that Abhishek Pathak, son of Kumar Mangat Pathak, will be directing the sequel. Despite Jeethu Joseph denying reports that he might return to direct the project, following the demise of Nishikanth Kamath, rumours are rife that the director will take over the lens.

‘Drishyam’ saw a family trying to cover up the murder of a boy who happened to be the son of the Inspector. Tabu continues her role as the tough cop and mother who leaves no stone unturned in order to get justice.
