Taapsee Pannu slams trolls calling her ‘masculine’ – Times of India

Taapsee Pannu has been sweating it out for her upcoming sports drama film and the actress has been trolled for her athletic look. As she essays the role of a sprinter in the movie and her physical transformation has faced a volley of negative comments on social media with several calling her ‘Mard’.

She recently took to Twitter to give a savage reply to all those who objectified her and gave a shoutout to all the female athletes. “Heartfelt thank you From yours Truly. But there are many women who actually hear this daily for no fault of theirs. An ode to all the athletes who give their sweat and blood to the sport and their nation and still get to hear this.”

Recently, Taapsee Pannu announced her production house and her maiden venture is titled ‘Blurr’. Speaking about this new role, the actress shared, “It’s fun to be able to become any character. In fact, I feel it’s dangerous to become complacent in this profession. This liberty to experiment is what this line of work gives you in a big way. You can only grow when you do different things. Today, my aim is to remain a bankable actress for the producers and the audience. At the end of the day, it’s a business where apart from making good films, we also have to be able to make some money.” Apart from ‘Blurr’, Taapsee has ‘Looop Lapeta’, ‘Do Baaraa’ and ‘Shabash Mithu’ in the pipeline.
