Raj Kundra pornography case: Cops arrest director of one of Kundra’s companies – Times of India

A director of one of Raj Kundra‘s companies was arrested in connection with the pornography case against the businessman on Thursday, city police said. Abhijeet Bomble, a director of one of Kundra‘s firms, was arrested by the Mumbai police’s crime branch, said an official.

Kundra, who is married to actor Shilpa Shetty, was arrested last month for allegedly producing and distributing porn films through an app. A related offence was registered at Malvani police station on the complaint of a 25-year-old model who alleged that she was promised roles in shorts films and web series, but in the name of bold scenes, she was forced to perform nude scenes.

Bomble was named as one of the accused, in this case, the police official said.

Meanwhile, Kundra’s time in custody was extended after the sessions court on Tuesday deferred his bail hearing till August 20. The court’s decision to defer the hearing came after the crime branch reportedly listed out 19 reasons to oppose the businessman’s bail appeal.

According to reports, the crime branch told the court that Kundra was not cooperating in the case and if granted bail, he might commit the crime again or even try to flee the country.

The victims in the case are women from poor financial backgrounds and, if the accused is out on bail, they might not come forward with crucial evidence, the police said.

In the latest on actress Gehana Vasisth’s legal trouble in the case, the Sessions Court rejected her pre-arrest bail plea. Her lawyer Sunil Kumar says, “The bail has been rejected but we will now be moving the HC after we get the copy of the order.”

Gehana had earlier said that she is facing trouble because she has come out in support of Raj Kundra. She maintains that she and Raj have never made pornographic content as is being alleged by people and the police.
