Meanwhile, the Mumbai Crime branch is likely to seek an extension of Raj Kundra’s custody in connection with the pornography-related case due to Kundra’s non-cooperation in the investigation.
Reportedly, Raj is not cooperating with the police and has no answers to the questions he is being asked by them during the probe. Sources also added that so far the businessman has denied all the charges against him in the matter.
Raj has been arrested for creating pornography content for mobile applications. He was sent to police custody till today, July 23. While several reports suggested Shilpa’s involvement in the case, however, a recent report revealed that she will not be served a summon in the case.
On Monday, the police had described Kundra as the key conspirator in the case, which was registered on February 4 at the Malwani police station in suburban Mumbai. Kundra has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Along with Raj, 11 other people have been arrested for alleged involvement in a case relating to the production of pornography.
