Sherlyn Chopra slams Poonam Pandey as she reacts to Raj Kundra’s arrest in pornography case: I have already given my neutral statement to Maharashtra cyber cell – Times of India

Actress Sherlyn Chopra has finally released an official statement on Raj Kundra’s arrest in a pornography case. Shilpa Shetty’s husband was arrested on July 19 by the Mumbai Police since he has been named the ‘key conspirator’ in the case.

She released a video statement where she has revealed that she was the first person to give her statement to the Maharashtra cyber cell. She refused to give away further details since the investigation is currently going on. Sherlyn also took a dig at Poonam Pandey as she recently reacted to Raj’s arrest. Take a look:

Earlier, Poonam released an official statement that read, “At this moment my heart goes out to Shilpa Shetty & her kids. I can’t imagine what she must be going through. So, I refuse to use this opportunity to highlight my trauma. The only thing I’ll add is that I have filed a police complaint in 2019 against Raj Kundra and subsequently registered a case at the honourable high court of Bombay against him for fraud & theft. This matter is sub judice, hence I would prefer to limit my statements. Also, I have full faith in our police & the judicial process.”

She had moved Bombay High Court to file a criminal case against Kundra and his associates, who collaborated with her for the app.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has recovered 70 videos shot by Kundra’s former PA Umesh Kamat with the help of different production houses. Raj was arrested on 19 July and remanded to police custody till July 23. His partner Ryan Thorpe was also arrested by the Mumbai Police on the same day.

On Tuesday, Kundra’s lawyer made an argument in court that it is incorrect to classify the content as pornography. He also objected to the application of Section 67A of the Information Technology Act on sending obscene content in electronic form along with other sections with respect to pornography as these laws consider “actual intercourse” as porn and the rest everything is termed as vulgar content.

The lawyer further said that the cops are following what web shows are working these days – vulgar content. However, it is not classified as porn. He added that nothing in this remand shows that two persons indulged in an act of intercourse. Hence, it cannot be called porn.
