Quartararo undergoes successful ‘arm pump’ operation | Racing News – Times of India

PARIS: Fabio Quartararo on Tuesday underwent a successful operation on his right arm after suffering a muscle injury during the weekend’s Spanish MotoGP, his team Yamaha announced.
“The doctor told me that the surgery for arm pump went very well,” the French rider said on Yamaha’s Twitter feed.

“I’m really looking forward to start working on the arm this week so that I can be 100% fit in Le Mans. I am feeling very positive about my recovery and can’t wait to ride my M1 again.”
Yamaha added that Quartararo had undergone a successful operation for “chronic exertional compartment syndrome” (CECS or ‘arm pump’).
“He is expected to be fully fit again for the Grand Prix de France, held from 14th – 16th May,” the team added.
The 22-year-old former championship leader sits second in the overall standings, two points behind Ducati’s Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia after four races.
