Taapsee Pannu shares a glimpse of her training for ‘Shabaash Mithu’ amid the lockdown: ‘No excuses’ – Times of India

Taapsee Pannu has been regularly honing her cricket skills for her upcoming film based on the life of India women’s ODI cricket team captain Mithali Raj. Today she took to her social media handles to announce that nothing can come between her training, not even the lockdown as she continues to make most of the open grounds while gyms remain shut owing to the rising cases of COVID-19.

Sharing a couple of pictures of her back facing the camera while practicing in the nets, she wrote, “Training during lockdown …. when open ground replaces gym. No excuses 🙂 #ShabaashMithu #WIP”

Have a look:

Earlier this week, the actress had started shooting for the sports film. She had even shared a sneak peek from the film set on social media that read, “Let’s go…. Day 1 ! #ShabaashMithu 🏏 #WomenInBlue 💪🏼.”

Talking about the film, the ‘Thappad’ actress once shared with Bombay Times, “It was already daunting to play her(Mithali) on the big screen, and now, the stakes are even higher. She holds a record for her 50s. And now, she has surpassed the 10,000-run mark. She is one of the most experienced women cricketers we have right now. There is a lot of pressure to play her on screen. It was already at its maximum when she achieved this high tally.”

On the work front, Taapsee has an interesting list of films lined up this year. This includes ‘Looop Lapeta’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Rashmi Rocket’ and ‘Dobaaraa.’
